Back to School Prayers is part of the women’s ministry in New Covenant Church Edmonton, based on a bible passage in 1 Samuel 1:27. We genuinely believe that through prayers and the right support every child can excel.

Just as Hannah went to Shiloh yearly to worship and sacrifice to the Lord, we also yearly, gather to lift up our children into God’s hands; firstly thanking Him for a successful

school year just completed and then praying for the new school year to start. This happens just before the start of a new academic year. We have held these prayers for a number of years now (16 years); and beautiful, wonderful and powerful testimonies have followed.

To the glory of God, we have had Cambridge admissions and graduations, children having 11 A* in GCSEs exams. Our A levels and O level results continue to surpass our human understanding, we have seen our children achieve excellent performances in exams, scholarships, and university results and secure good employment through prayers

There are testimonies of God’s protection from harmful childminders, Supernatural admission into desired choice schools, the turning around of poor school grades from F grades to A grades, children graduating from universities with first class honours or second class upper, children gaining sports scholarships etc.

Back2school runs a range of community initiatives including supporting schools, feeding children, supporting orphanages and developing children on emotional intelligence and how to seek God.

To God alone be all the glory.
